Women-only Alpine Mountain Holiday
This trip is designed for exactly that. The idea behind it is simple: to let you, heading into the mountains for the first time, truly step into them with peace of mind.
7 days, an all-women group, in the most underrated corner of the French Alps. No experience needed, no advance research needed: the route and pace are all arranged, and all you have to decide is which week to go.
By the end of this trip, you won't just have been to the Alps; you'll be able to travel in Europe's mountains on your own.

Why we designed it this way
🏔 Not a string of sights, but “stepping into mountain life”
Most Alpine trips just pass through: up by cable car, take photos, come back down. This one is different. We settle into one valley, hike two days in a row, stay in a mountain hut, try different mountain activities (via ferrata / paragliding / rafting) and eat local food. Seven days of immersive mountain experience, living like a local.
👯 Women only, a small group of 6–7
On a first trip into the mountains, an all-women setting makes it easier to say “I need a break”, and the pace can truly follow how the group is doing. A small group means everyone is seen. Get to know a group of women from all over the world.
🧭 Preparing you to travel on your own in the future
By the end of this trip, you'll know how to choose mountain gear, how to read maps and weather, how mountain hut bookings work, and where your own physical limits are. We've designed the structure, but the goal is that next time you won't need us.
📍 A place only Europeans know about
Briançon isn't in any viral travel guide. It's the training base for France's top mountaineers and the summer basecamp for Europe's local outdoor enthusiasts. There aren't crowds of tourists here, yet it has kept the best outdoor conditions and the most beautiful scenery in the Alps. We think that is exactly why it's worth coming.
Itinerary
Trek LocationBriancon
DAY 1 Arrival in Briançon
Briançon is the highest inhabited old town in Europe, the training base for France's top mountaineers, and home to the toughest mountain passes of the Tour de France. Four valleys radiate out from here, each with its own network of routes. Every summer, outdoor enthusiasts from across Europe come here to hike, cycle and climb.
Check in to the Chalet and meet the group. In the evening we share a welcome dinner of raclette, and the journey officially begins.
DAY 2 Clarée Valley · Alpine Lakes
From Briançon we drive into the Clarée Valley and set off on foot, taking in the stunning alpine lake lac du serpent, with dinner by the lake. In the evening we stay in a mountain hut for the first time, meeting travellers from all over the world over a warm hut dinner.
DAY 3 Chardonnet Plateau · Mountain Hut
We hike through the valley, past the buffère hut, and back to the village of Névache, where we stop at the bakery to taste the famous local blueberry cake and hot chocolate.
After descending back to Briançon, we head into the old town in the evening for dinner at a Michelin restaurant — a meal worthy of the day's trail.
DAY 4 Rafting ·Via Ferrata
Optional paragliding in the morning. In the afternoon, via ferrata: climb the rock face along a system of iron cables to a summit overlooking the old town and the snowy peaks. No climbing experience is needed. At dusk, watch the sunset from the ramparts of Briançon's old town, then enjoy Italian pizza in town in the evening.
DAY 5 Granon Tour de France Pass · Lake Cristol
Hike up Col de Granon (2413m), a legendary pass of the Tour de France, and continue on to the Cristol plateau. This is the day with the most wide-open views of the whole trip. Bring your own picnic to enjoy by the lake; after the descent, soak in hot springs beneath the snowy peaks and let your legs recover from the day. DAY 6 Orceyrette Lakes · Farewell
Optional white-water rafting on the Durance River in the morning, feeling the force of Alpine glacial meltwater; in the afternoon, we wrap up with an easy two-hour walk around the classic Orceyrette lakes. In the evening, back at the Chalet, we have a barbecue together and a farewell party.
DAY 7 Old Town Stroll · Departures
In the morning, explore Briançon's old town at your own pace, wander its stone-paved lanes and enjoy one last coffee. Then everyone sets off on their journey home.
